It has been my experience with "dungeon", structures with mobs protecting it, that players will simply mine their way to their advantage, place scaffolding using dirt or available blocks, and so on. Is there a mechanism between Denizen and TerrainControl to temporarily flip Adventure Mode to prohibit "cheating" until a certain condition is met, such as killing the boss, opening a specific chest, or breaking a specific target block? Once the "target" has been met, of course, the players are welcome to alter the "dungeon" structure to make a farm out of it, make it their new base, loot the building blocks, or whatever they find suitable.
Until then, players are forbidden from chewing up the structure to advantage or making "safe rooms", scaffolding, and otherwise making irrelevant the traps and "kill boxes" the designer went through all the trouble to make.
Has anyone given thought on how to do this? Or should it be pretty simple to implement using command blocks that get placed with the .BO3 files? "Adventure Mode" will do this, but I do not want to set this on players "full time". There must be a means to toggle the condition based on how close they are to a special structure.
I told my wife what I'm asking here. She's giving me dirty looks. Here's to your hard work, NLBlackEagle! I am in favor of keeping your efforts safe from mean, nasty players that just want to smash your nice things and killing your mobs too easily.
