Terrain Control 2.7.0 is finally here! It includes a reworked biome generator, along with some other new features. Most of these features were created by @Timethor.
The following changes have been made to the biome generator:
* Biomes can now be placed in groups. Previously, we had only NormalBiomes and IceBiomes, but now you can create as many groups as you want. See this thread.
* The BiomeSize variable has been split into three separate settings; one for when the biome is part of a biome group, one for when the biome is spawned as an isle and one for when the biome is spawned as a border biome.
* Same for BiomeRarity. However, there is no border rarity setting because of technical limitations.
* The old biome generator is still available, simply set
BeforeGroups. Terrain Control does this automatically for old worlds.
There's also a new resource for in the resources queue: SurfacePatch. This resource lets you create patches on the surface. The swamp biome now uses this resource to place extra water.
BO3s also got a new feature: extrusion. Extrusion allows the last or first layer of the BO3 to be repeated until it hits a floor or ceiling. See this topic.
