Every once in a while I check the map to do a overal improvement which mostly gives avarage results. However from time to time there are real visable changes. Which in this case happend to one of my favorite biomes, The mountain continent!
so, after changing a huge lot of settings & in both the Bo3 Trees & Biomes + re-painting a part of the map I've archieved quite some impressive results! Here's a couple of steps where you can see the changes

Changed bedrock to Gray Stained Clay:
I've used Bedrock to give a better contrast between the snow and the ridges, it looks pretty sick and wont obstruct anyone in their digging as it's only the ridge. A possibile outcome is that people will massively go to the mountains since there is better natural protection due to the bedrock but that would only increase pvp & fun on that location i guess
I also removed grass completely from the mountain top biomes to give a more frozen and clean look. I had to expand the blockchecks of the trees to also spawn onto snow blocks which is quite unnatural but worth it.
Atlast I've decided to use MaxAvarageDepth -0.1 to give that extra little slope effect to the mountains. The downside is that flat plateaus where generated as results but this gets covered up by the bedrock ridges. On top of that I've increased the height of the summit and added in some extra volatility to make it all look natural.
Absolutely love these mountains now and will look into perfecting them even further!!!!
